For deliveries to Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, our shipping partner PostNord uses unattended delivery as the default option. This means your Pikkuna order will be delivered directly to your door without requiring your signature or presence at home.
How Unattended Delivery Works
When your order arrives at your address, the PostNord driver will leave the package at your door or another safe location on your property. You don't need to be home to receive your delivery—the driver will complete the delivery without waiting for you to answer the door. For doorstep deliveries, the driver takes a photo as proof of delivery, which becomes visible to both you and us through PostNord's tracking system. This photo confirmation ensures you know exactly where your package was placed and provides documentation that delivery was completed successfully.
What Happens If Delivery Isn't Possible
If the driver determines there's no safe place to leave your package—for example, if your entrance is not secure or weather conditions would damage an exposed parcel—the delivery will be redirected to a nearby PostNord pickup point. You'll receive a notification with the pickup point location and instructions for collecting your order. The package will be held at the pickup point for a specified period (typically 7-14 days depending on the country), giving you time to retrieve it at your convenience.
Modifying Your Delivery Preferences
If you prefer attended delivery (where the driver waits for your signature) or want to specify a particular delivery location, you can modify your delivery options using PostNord's Flex Change service. After your order ships, you'll receive tracking information via email. Through PostNord's website or app, you can access Flex Change to redirect your delivery to a pickup point, specify a safe place on your property, choose a different delivery day, or request other delivery modifications. These options give you control over how and when you receive your Pikkuna order.

PostNord implemented unattended delivery as the standard option across Nordic countries to improve delivery efficiency and convenience. Most customers prefer not to wait at home for deliveries, and unattended delivery allows successful first-attempt delivery in most cases.
