What film options are available?

Pikkuna offers three distinct film types to match your specific needs:

Clear PVC Film (0.70 mm thickness)
Our most popular choice provides crystal-clear visibility while protecting your outdoor space from wind, rain, and dust. The transparent film maintains an open, airy feel and allows maximum natural light to enter your terrace or patio. This film is ideal when you want weather protection without compromising your view or the brightness of your outdoor area. Perfect for spaces where you want to preserve the connection with your garden or surrounding landscape.

Tinted PVC Film (0.70 mm thickness, brown tint)
This option combines weather protection with sun control. The brown-tinted film reduces glare and creates comfortable shade on your terrace, making it more pleasant to relax outdoors on bright sunny days. While still maintaining good visibility, the tint provides a softer, warmer ambiance and helps reduce heat buildup in enclosed spaces. Choose tinted film if your terrace faces south or west and receives intense direct sunlight, or if you prefer a cozier, more private outdoor environment.

Mosquito Net (mesh screen)
For warmer months when you need ventilation rather than full weather protection, our mosquito net option keeps insects out while allowing fresh air to flow freely. This breathable mesh is perfect for summer evenings when you want to enjoy your terrace without unwanted bugs. The mosquito net can be used independently or combined with clear PVC curtains on different sides of your terrace — for example, solid PVC curtains on the windward side for protection, and mosquito mesh on other sides for airflow.

You can mix different film types on various sides of your terrace opening in the calculator. Each side can have its own film type, allowing you to create a customized solution that addresses your specific conditions — wind direction, sun exposure, and ventilation needs.
