You only need:

A tape measure;
Paper and a pencil to write down the measurements.

Required measurements:

Width of the opening;
Height of the opening at the left edge;
Height of the opening at the right edge;
Door width;
Distance from the left edge of the opening to the door.

Always Measure the Internal Dimensions of the Opening!

You don't need to worry about accounting for the width of the Pikkuna edge. The overall size of the PVC curtain will be automatically adjusted based on the type of mounting for each side.
